The IS420ESWBH2A is an Ethernet IONet switch manufactured by General Electric (GE), belonging to the Mark VIe series, and used in gas turbine control systems. All IONet switches used with Mark VIe and Mark VIeS safety control systems must be GE original industrial-grade non-managed 10/100 Mbps Ethernet switches; this series of switches is specifically designed to meet the needs of industrial real-time control scenarios.
IS420ESWBH2A Product Features:
- Compatible with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3x Ethernet standards
- 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, supporting automatic rate negotiation
- Automatic negotiation in full-duplex/half-duplex modes
- 100 Mbps fiber optic uplink port
- Automatic wire sequence identification (HP-MDIX)
- Equipped with dual-color indicator lights on each port, displaying link connection status, data transmission/reception activity, duplex mode, and transmission rate respectively
- Independent power status indicator light
- Minimum 256KB data buffer, supporting storage of 4096 MAC addresses
- Dual redundant power inputs (diode or gate redundant power supply)

Function Description:
- The GE Ethernet/IONet ESWB series comprises five types (H1A to H5A), each with different fiber optic port configurations, categorized into three types: no fiber optic port, multimode fiber optic port, and long-distance single-mode fiber optic port.
- Depending on the hardware type (ESWA/ESWB) and DIN rail mounting orientation, the ESW series switches can be mounted using three types of GE-certified DIN rail clips; clips must be ordered separately, and mounting screws are included with the switch.
- Input voltage drops (also known as low-voltage sags) can cause the ESWB IONet switch to restart erroneously under certain operating conditions, failing to restore communication with the control system. If the 28V input voltage drops below the minimum operating voltage but does not completely return to zero, the switch may fail to restart properly when the voltage recovers to the normal range.
- If the above problem occurs, the indicator lights on the front of the switch will display three abnormal states: constantly lit, flashing synchronously, or continuously scrolling, and the network will be unable to reconnect. If a sudden low-voltage drop and IONet communication interruption occur on-site, and the voltage recovers, check the switch indicator lights. If the above abnormal conditions are present, the power supply must be switched off and the switch manually restarted.
